For the rest of 2024, I’ll be creating stunning portraits of fabulous women over the age of 40 (40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and beyond) culminating in a celebration
with these women and their stories. Women struggle now more than ever before to keep it all together.

We’re supposed to have careers, while still taking care of, or supporting our children and grandchildren, take care of the home, grocery shop, make meals, make a difference in our community, shave our legs and find time to exercise and practice self-care. When is the last time you celebrated yourself?
More and more women are doing incredible things over the age of 40; they are having babies, working on continued education, or starting new careers over the age of 40! (I did all of these!) We are trying to do it all, we actually do it all, and yet, somewhere in the mix, we may feel lost. There are too many amazing women in this community with amazing stories, too wise not to be listened to, and too beautiful not to be celebrated. It’s time to start CELEBRATING your journey as a WOMAN! Join me on this adventure of empowering you and telling your story. Let’s INSPIRE other women with your story, but most importantly, let’s inspire YOU.. When is the last time you were professionally photographed? When is the last time you spent a day on just yourself, connecting with yourself, connecting with your inner goddess and your little girl. She is still there you know!

Why over 40, why me and why now?
I believe in the matriarchy. I started my portrait photography business to celebrate and empower women (including myself), no matter what age, no matter what stage. I turned 50 a few years ago, and I want to do my part to help shift the societal perception on aging as it relates to women. I want to create something very special as a gift for all women to enjoy. I feel more empowered at my age than I ever did before.
It will be fun, fulfilling and transformational. The REVOLUTION is within you...and I want to bring it out! Join me on a fun and incredible experience. You will forever change the way you look at yourself.
Who can take part in the project?
I would love to photograph a wide variety of women. Let’s create a tapestry of stunning images of women of different shapes, ages, cultures and sizes; women with different experiences, from different backgrounds and with different views of life.
The Nicole Gates Photography experience is an exciting, pampering, indulgent adventure, custom tailored and focused on YOU! And ridiculously fun.

1) Consultation
Wardrobe & Styling, Planning
Complete session planning from A-Z
Access to our beautiful Wardrobe & Accessories
I help you design your session and wardrobe and work hard to make your vision a reality.
2) Professional Makeover
Camera-ready Custom Make-up application by our skillful on site make-up artist (you meet her, you love her!) Glammed up or natural/refined, it's all up to you! Light hairstyling for picture perfect results!
I don’t want you to have to worry about anything on the day of your shoot. We will take good care of you!
3) Fashion-Inspired Photo shoot
Covergirl for a day! You will enjoy a fully, expertly guided magazine-style photoshoot. I guide you through posing and will tell you exactly what to do. So many times women feel uncomfortable in front of a camera because they can’t see themselves and don’t know what to do. Some women always tell me they don’t know what to do with their hands. I will guide you. No experience required.
Not photogenic? Nonsense! It is not your job to be. No one is born photogenic. It is my job to bring it out of you, show you and teach you.
We've got you! It is our job to connect and make you comfortable, to show you in your best light with flattering posing.

4) The Photo Premiere and Ordering Session
We will schedule a time for you to come back and view your beautiful portraits in person a few weeks later. At this appointment, you will review, choose, and decide on the images that you want to take home forever. How you’d like those images is up to you, whether that be a wall portrait, a custom album, or a beautiful customizable image folio box with all of your photographs inside. (You can see samples on my website and on social media)
Note- that all purchased images come with its corresponding digital file. AND- your first image is on me!! That’s right - you also get to choose a complimentary photo!! This is my gift to you for celebrating yourself at this age!!
How much does it cost $$?
I am offering the Fabulous Over 40 special experience for $650 session fee. (Normally my session fees are $1490 and up). Aside from complimentary hair and makeup on the day of your shoot, and a $400 credit towards the purchase of your images, you also receive one complimentary matted image to add to your folio box collection (or added to your album) from me just for participating in the project (that’s a $500 value!)
What you will receive:
As one of my ‘Fabulous Over 40’ women, you will receive a wonderful package which includes:
- An in-depth session consultation and prep session with me to discuss how you want to be photographed, what outfits you would like to wear, what looks good on you, what you need to wear to highlight your best features, what wardrobe will help you realize your vision.
- Hair and makeup on the day of the photo shoot (you will look and feel amazing!)
- Fully guided professional photo shoot that you will truly enjoy. It is my goal to turn every woman into a supermodel.
- A complimentary matted fine art print with your purchase of a collection of your favorite images from your session (you can also choose to add it to your album) - my gift to you for taking part in the project and for celebrating yourself - a $500 value!!
- An in-person review and ordering session where you can see your beautifully and professionally retouched photographs, choose your complimentary print and have the opportunity to purchase more with your credit! My image collections begin at $1890, but most people end up buying more because if I have done my job, you will want them all.
- Your photos and/or social media videos along with part of your story will be published in social media.
-One of your images will be handpicked by me and displayed in the Fabulous Over 40 gallery. (Date and Time TBA)
- Membership in the Nicole Gates Photography VIP FB Group.
The project will be promoted so you’ll need to be happy with…
- Being interviewed by me during the project, perhaps before and/or after the photoshoot about being a woman over 40. This may include video interviews and behind the scenes footage of your photo session.
- That interview may be shared on my website and social media.
- Before and After makeover photos to be shown.
- Other conditions may apply.
